North East Karate Club is hosting a Karate Tournament on June 23, 2024. Please find attached the Tournament Registration Forms. If you are interested in participating, please print, complete and return these forms at your next class. Be aware that full equipment is required including a mouth guard and jocks (if applicable). Please place your order ASAP for any required equipment in order for it to arrive on time. Work on your kata. Be explosive, demonstrate power and don’t forget to kiai! Ensure that you participate in in-class sparring to practice your defensive and offensive strategies. Standard tournament rules will be in play which means that participants will need contact to achieve a point. First person to wins 3 points is declared the winner of the match.

October 12: The Binbrook Little Theatre play is this weekend and they have requested the use of our Dojo. Therefore karate classes this Thursday, October 12th will be cancelled. Please come to Valley Park for make up classes on Saturday at 10:00 to 11:00 am.

Impact of Farmer’s Turkey Roll: Due to the Farmers Turkey Roll every FIRST Tuesday of October, November and December, our classes for that day only will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Dear Parents and Karateka,

I hope that all is well and everyone had a wonderful summer spending time with friends and family!

We are excited to inform you that Karate classes will resume September 5, 2023 at Binbrook Memorial Hall! Classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday (not Friday) from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Feel free to bring friends or relatives so we can introduce martial arts to them and to show off your skills. Tell your kids to tell their friends about karate!

Just a reminder that we will be closed during the week of Binbrook fair (Sept 11 to Sept 15).

Looking forward to see you all there at the opening night!

Hi Karateka and Parents,  

Thank you very much for your continued support. We want to remind you that we are closed for the month of August and we will be back again on September 5 in Binbrook Memorial Hall.  Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday at Valley Park Community Center starting September 9 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Everyone is welcome to bring a friend or relatives for a free trial.

Registration is $40 for the year and $85.00 monthly fee per person.

Hi karateka,

Just a reminder that karate grading will be held in class on June 15, 2023. Please work on your kata and terminology. All Karateka are required to be in full white uniform.

In the spirit of celebration, we traditionally have a small party after the grading. Please don’t forget to bring snacks to share with everyone and kindly invite your family and friends for the occasion!

Just a reminder that Binbrook Hall is under renovation starting this week. Our karate classes will be move to Glanbrook Arena, 2nd Floor (4300 Binbrook Rd, Binbrook, ON L0R 1C0) until further notice beginning May 2, 2023. Binbrook Hall renovations are expected to take approximately 2.5 months to complete.

There are no changes to the Valley Park schedule/location. The Valley Park class is cancelled on Victoria Day long weekend. 

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Glanbrook Arena!

There will be no classes from Saturday, March 11 to Saturday, March 18, 2023 as we will be closed for March Break. Classes resume on March 21, 2023.

Grading is scheduled for March 28, 2023 so don’t forget to practice your kata! Reminder that friends and family are always welcome to attend your grading! Don’t forget to bring snacks to share with everyone.
