Rental Permit still pending with the City

Hi Everyone,

I know that everyone is very anxious to get back to karate. At this time, the City of Hamilton have asked us to remain patient as they figure out the logistics of reopening city rentals during this fourth wave and have not yet cleared us to do so. I will continue to follow-up with them for status updates. We will definitely open as soon as we get permission from the city.

Thank you for your continued patience in this matter.

Yours truly,

Sensei Joe

We are hoping to reopen by September 2021

Hi Parents and Karateka,

I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy.

We are currently waiting for the City of Hamilton to give us the green light to reopen. Once we hear from the City, a notification will be sent out immediately to let everyone know our status. We hope that we are able to welcome everyone back in September 2021!

Please contact me should you have any questions or concerns. In the meantime, stay well and healthy.

Yours truly,

Reopen postponed until July 2021

I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy!

We had intended to reopen the club on April, 2021; however, at this time, Hamilton remains in the red zone and health concerns are on the rise. Because of this, we had to make the difficult decision to remain closed and postpone our reopen. We hope that we are able welcome everyone back again in July 2021 when hopefully we have successfully flattened the curve. Our main priority remains the health and safety of our fellow students and teachers.

Please contact me should you have any questions or concerns.

Stay safe,

Sensei Joe

Reopen postponed until April 2021

Hi Parents and Karateka,

I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy.

We had intended to reopen the club on January 5, 2020; however, at this time, Hamilton remains in the red zone and health concerns are on the rise. Because of this, we had to make the difficult decision to remain closed and postpone our reopen. We hope that we are able welcome everyone back again in April 2021 when hopefully we have successfully flattened the curve. Our main priority remains the health and safety of our fellow students and teachers.

Please contact me should you have any questions or concerns.

Have a safe and happy holiday season and all the best for 2021!

Yours truly,

Sensei Joe

Classes will resume January 2021

We have received the go-ahead from the City of Hamilton to open the club!
In order to allow time for the second wave to settle, we will start January 5, 2020 at Binbrook Hall at 6:30 pm.
We’ll be in touch in late December with more details. In the meantime, have a safe and happy holiday!
Yours truly,

Karate reopen still pending

Hello Everyone,

I hope you’re having a wonderful safe day!

The City of Hamilton is working very diligently to create safety protocols for the use of rec centers. As soon as the City of Hamilton finalizes their COVID-19 safety protocols, we will be opening the karate club. We very much look forward to when this can happen. We will keep you posted.

Thank you very much for your patience,

J.R.’s Karate Club Reopen Update

We appreciate your patience during this uncertain time.

Our start date of resuming classes has been postponed. We are waiting for the City of Hamilton to confirm an open date for us. We will send an update to you the moment we are notified.

We anticipate that space will be very limited. Due to COVID-19 we are anticipating restrictions on the number of people permitted into the building as well as other new changes that are expected to be relayed to us in time. If you haven’t done so yet, kindly email/call us to notify us of your intentions to join or postpone your return.

We look forward to seeing you again in the dojo. In the meantime, stay safe!

Classes to Reopen in September

Dear Karateka and Parents,
I hope that everyone enjoyed their summer and was able to practice physical distancing to stay safe.
Due to COVID-19 we had to close in March 2020 to make sure that everyone stayed healthy. I have good news! We are planning to reopen and welcome everyone back on September 8, 2020!
We are going to practice strict physical distancing guidelines and everyone will be required to wear a mask while inside the Dojo. We are still waiting from the City of Hamilton to learn what new protocols may be implemented and required from us.
In order to plan for our reopen, we need a headcount right now to see how many students, both new and returning, will be joining us.
Please email me at jrskarateclub@yahoo.ca or call 905-520-2371 and let me know if you or your child will be joining us.
Looking forward to hearing from you and getting back to the dojo!
Sincerely
Sensei Joe

Summer classes postponed due to COVID-19

To protect the health and safety of the community from the spread of COVID-19, the Town of Hamilton is extending the facility closures up to the end of May 2020. This means that our summer season’s opening must be postponned.

J.R.’s Karate Club will NOT be cashing post dated checks for April and May 2020. They will be shredded and discarded in a responsible manner.

You will be informed via notifications like this one when our summer season start date will be; however, we are planning/hoping for June 2, 2020.

Although we are unable to welcome you to the club at this time, we look forward to seeing you when we re-open!

In the meantime, stay safe, wash your hands and be kind.
