New Friday Bo (Staff) Class Added for Advanced Belts

New classes for advanced belts are starting in April and will run the last Friday of every month.  Starting  April 27th, “Bo Classes” (staff) will begin running at Studio D. Please bring your Bo or improvise by using a broom stick as tall as you or few inches longer.  Mark the center of the Bo with magic marker or any tape.  Let Sensei Joe or Lou know if you are coming.  See you there!
Also… Welcome back Sheilah Logan, 1st dan!  We are very much excited to have a familiar face back at the club.  Please give Sheilah a warm welcome when you see her!

Easter Egg Hunt and Karate Demonstration March 30, 2018

Please join us on March 30th for an Easter Egg Hunt and karate demonstration at Binbrook Ball Field!
Please be there at 9:30 AM.  The demonstration is expected to finish around 11:00 AM.  Easter Egg hunts may follow.  See the below poster for more information.
All students must wear their white gi (uniform) and bring their sparring gear for kumite.  Students may bring friends and family to show them what we have learned over the last few months or years!

Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation

Registration for membership with the Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation (SWKKF) is approaching quickly.
What you get:
– access to all SWKKF activities such as tournaments and workouts
– passport with all your personal information including your belt rank
     – listings of the katas which should be known at each belt level
     – listing of all tournaments which you have attended
     – documents your grading

Grading and Holiday Schedule

Grading is scheduled for next week:
  • Tuesday December 12
  • Thursday December 14
  • Friday December 15
Karate-SantaAnyone receiving their Blue Belt or up will be graded on Friday, December 15 at Studio D at Arvin Ave corner Dewitt at 7:00pm.
Please feel bring some snacks for the grading to share with everybody.
Last day of classes for 2017 will be:
  • December 19, Binbrook
  • December 21, Valley Park
  • December 22, Studio D
